Stars of Jonesport Beals 2007

This quilt was pieced by the Grandmother of a Jonespot-Beals High School senior. The quilt will be raffled off to raise money for senior class projects.

As you can see, there is a lot of quilting in this quilt. They wanted a "WOW factor" so I went a little crazy (maybe)

Heidi's Patchwork

This is a 1940's vintage top that was finally finished as a gift for the customer's grandaughter. The blue border was added before quilting to stabilize the edges.

This quilting design is called Hodge Podge. There are flowers, feathers, leaves and more all worked intothe design It worked well because I could work it around the bulky seams that came from the top being founadtion pieced.

Snake-in-the-Hollow

Mary made this quilt for her daughter's wedding. She wanted the quilting to enhance the movement of the quilt.

The arc in the fan sections connect to add movement to the quilt.

On the back, you can really see the movement and the connecting arcs.

Anna's Log Cabin

I love the colors Anna chose for this top. She wanted to keep it old-fashioned looking, so we used a tradional Baptist Fan pattern in the center of the quilt.

Anna's borders were so lovely and flat, I couldn't resist putting a little something in each one.

Daughter's Patchwork

This was made by two sisters for their Mom. It has ALL types of fabric in it and is really big... 120" by 120" ! A simple wavy cross-hatch worked well with the puffy batting and diverse fabrics
